The Velocity P325 is the mid wheel drive powerbase from Avid Rehab, the complex rehab division of Merits Health Products. It is coded K0848, K0849, K0856 and K0861, which places it squarely in Group 3 territory where full power positioning matters as much as drive performance. The headline features are a 0 to 50 degree posterior tilt built around a center of gravity design, so your weight stays balanced over the base as you tilt, and a 90 to 150 degree recline with shear reduction that slides the backrest as it opens to keep your skin from dragging against the upholstery.
Under the seat, the Velocity keeps a genuinely compact footprint. The base is 24 inches wide, overall length is 36 inches and the turning radius is 26 inches, so it maneuvers through standard doorways and tight bathrooms that stop larger rehab chairs. Seat to floor height starts at a low 16.5 inches, which helps with table clearance and vehicle headroom, and the optional 12 inch telescoping power lift raises the whole seat for eye level conversation and reaching shelves or counters.
Dual 275W motors deliver a 6 mph top speed, and twin MK 22NF batteries are rated for up to 18 miles per charge. I needed a mobility scooter that was auto-folding, but not overly engineered where problems can arise, was not too heavy to lift by myself, would easily fit in the trunk of my car, and not be overly expensive. Wishful thinking I thought. Until I discovered the MOJO on my computer. This scooter ticked all my boxes, and more. It is comfortable, well built, is easy to charge the batteries without having to bend down to remove them, and even if you do want to remove them they are accessible from the standing position. the tiller is fully adjustable as are the arm rests, the folding/unfolding functions are easily initiated, and the axle release is easily achieved. A well engineered piece of kit. Now, for the customer service: I can honestly say that I have never come across anything like it; it is absolutely perfect. The gentleman I dealt with 'bent over backwards' to help me without pressuring me into a purchase, and to ensure I was buying a scooter that was right for me. Because I live in New Zealand I knew I was creating a lot more work for him, but he never complained. This and my MOJO are very much appreciated. Found the type of Scooter. I wanted to buy online not everyone has the kind of scooter. I have . Talked to Raphael Perlmann about the scooter I wanted.
