The Avid by Merits Axcel Narrow P335N is billed as the first front wheel drive rehab power base built just 22.5 inches wide. Most complex rehab chairs trade indoor access for outdoor ability. This one refuses the trade. The narrow footprint threads doorframes, galley kitchens and tight hallway turns with a 26 inch turning radius, while 14 inch front drive tires and independent hydraulic suspension keep it planted on grass, gravel and broken sidewalk.
It earned a 2024 Mobility Management Product Award for packing full CRT positioning into that slim frame. Power recline sweeps from 85 to 160 degrees with 6 inches of shear reduction, and a 12 inch power seat elevation option brings counters, shelves and eye level conversation within reach. The seating frame accepts 14 to 20 inch widths and depths so an ATP can dial in the fit.
Underneath, a 90 amp R-NET controller runs paired 222 watt motors, the electronics platform clinicians already program every day and the gateway to alternative drive controls. Two 50Ah MK AGM batteries deliver up to 19 miles per charge and slide out through a tool free rear access panel. Bright LED lighting comes standard, and Merits finishes the shroud in five colors including Sapphire Blue and Camo Green.

I needed a mobility scooter that was auto-folding, but not overly engineered where problems can arise, was not too heavy to lift by myself, would easily fit in the trunk of my car, and not be overly expensive. Wishful thinking I thought. Until I discovered the MOJO on my computer. This scooter ticked all my boxes, and more. It is comfortable, well built, is easy to charge the batteries without having to bend down to remove them, and even if you do want to remove them they are accessible from the standing position. the tiller is fully adjustable as are the arm rests, the folding/unfolding functions are easily initiated, and the axle release is easily achieved. A well engineered piece of kit. Now, for the customer service: I can honestly say that I have never come across anything like it; it is absolutely perfect. The gentleman I dealt with 'bent over backwards' to help me without pressuring me into a purchase, and to ensure I was buying a scooter that was right for me. Because I live in New Zealand I knew I was creating a lot more work for him, but he never complained. This and my MOJO are very much appreciated.
