This is the full size ScootaTrailer, the only size the manufacturer builds. There is no larger or XL model, because this is the largest one made. The interior trailer bed measures 35.5 inches wide by 66 inches long. We confirmed these exact figures in writing with Josh Tesh, COO of ScootaTrailer (Tesh and Sons), on June 3, 2026.
You may see a wider 37.5 inch width on some other listings, and even on parts of the manufacturer's own page. That figure is out of date. The current and correct interior trailer bed width is 35.5 inches, and we would rather show you the real measurement than an optimistic one.
Because the usable width is 35.5 inches, fit can be tight for wider scooters. Josh Tesh advises that a scooter measuring close to 35.5 inches across will be a very tight fit. Measure your scooter's widest point before ordering, and if it is within an inch of 35.5 inches, call us at 1-888-233-5563 and we will confirm the fit with you first.
The ScootaTrailer has fixed side walls, so your scooter's armrests need to clear them once it is loaded. The manufacturer advises that the distance from the scooter floor to the underside of the armrest tubing must be greater than 20.5 inches for the scooter to fit. Josh Tesh, COO of ScootaTrailer, confirmed this 20.5 inch clearance rule on May 26, 2026. Combined with the 35.5 inch interior trailer bed width, fit can be tight for wider scooters. Measure both your scooter's width and its floor to armrest clearance before ordering, and call us at 1-888-233-5563 and we will confirm the fit with you first.

The outside height, from top to bottom, is 63", and the bed height is only 9" from the ground. Each unit features Dexter® Torflex axles and 145 x 12" 8 ply high-speed radial tires. The trailer requires a 2" ball and a ball height of 17" - 19". It is equipped with a swivel jack and caster wheel for easy handling. As mentioned, ScootaTrailer's total trailer weight is 475 lbs when empty of cargo, including an aluminum top. Without the aluminum top, the total weight is 400 lbs. Is it easy to operate? Absolutely, yes!
Every make & model of vehicle can tow a ScootaTrailer with up to a 600 lb. electric wheelchair or scooter inside, and they can all do it at any highway speed without the complication of overloading the vehicle or the hitch.
This includes sub-compacts, compacts, medium & large vehicles, trucks & SUV’s. Sub-compact examples: Honda Fit, Ford Focus, Toyota Prius, VW Beetle, Nissan Versa, Smart Car, etc., etc., and the list goes on. The sub-compacts just mentioned, only have a 100 lb. – 1,000 lb. rated hitch available. That’s still more than enough for either trailer, with ANY chair or scooter up to 600 lbs. The most important fact to know is this: ANY vehicle that a hitch is made for is enough vehicle & enough hitch!

When you get your ScootaTrailer, you’ll find this yellow warranty sheet attached to your DMV registration documents. You may also receive a digital copy by email. If you choose to use the digital copy, it must be printed in color, filled out completely, and mailed back to activate your warranty.

We understand that shipping damage can sometimes happen, and we want you to feel confident that it will always be taken care of. ScootaTrailer® has a clear and flexible damage protocol to make the process simple for customers.
If you are allowed to open the box, inspect the unit carefully before signing. If you notice any damage, such as tears, holes, scratches, dents, or other visible signs, you must note the damage clearly on the driver’s delivery receipt before signing. This is the most important step to protect your claim.
If the freight carrier does not allow you to open the box, write on the delivery receipt that the driver was “unwilling to allow inspection of the box.” This ensures you are still protected if hidden damage is discovered later.
Always take pictures of the box and the unit if there are any signs of damage.
If you believe there is damage, please call ScootaTrailer® directly using the phone number included in your tracking email. Photos are required, and in some cases, they may even arrange a video call to better understand the issue.
With this process in place, you can feel confident that your ScootaTrailer® will arrive in excellent condition, and if not, the manufacturer will handle it promptly.

I needed a mobility scooter that was auto-folding, but not overly engineered where problems can arise, was not too heavy to lift by myself, would easily fit in the trunk of my car, and not be overly expensive. Wishful thinking I thought. Until I discovered the MOJO on my computer. This scooter ticked all my boxes, and more. It is comfortable, well built, is easy to charge the batteries without having to bend down to remove them, and even if you do want to remove them they are accessible from the standing position. the tiller is fully adjustable as are the arm rests, the folding/unfolding functions are easily initiated, and the axle release is easily achieved. A well engineered piece of kit. Now, for the customer service: I can honestly say that I have never come across anything like it; it is absolutely perfect. The gentleman I dealt with 'bent over backwards' to help me without pressuring me into a purchase, and to ensure I was buying a scooter that was right for me. Because I live in New Zealand I knew I was creating a lot more work for him, but he never complained. This and my MOJO are very much appreciated.
