Lightweight, Durable, and Easy to Handle
The ScootaTrailer weighs just 475 lbs. with the aluminum top option (400 lbs. without it). It measures 66" long by 37.5" wide inside, with an overall outside length and width of 93" x 54". The outside height, from top to bottom, is 63", and the bed height is only 9" from the ground. Each unit features Dexter® Torflex axles and 145 x 12" 8 ply high-speed radial tires. The trailer requires a 2" ball and a ball height of 17" - 19". It is equipped with a swivel jack and caster wheel for easy handling. Safety chains and lighting are DOT approved in all 50 states and Canada, ensuring secure travel. The ScootaTrailer can handle up to a 600 lb. powerchair or scooter and comes with a one-year limited warranty.
NOTE:
This is a trailer to transport your mobility scooter, not a mobility scooter pull-behind trailer. This is not a scooter with trailers or one you attach to your mobility scooter for extra storage space.

ScootaTrailer measures 66" (length) x 36.5" (width) and an overall length of 93" and fits most mobility scooters on the market. As mentioned, ScootaTrailer's total trailer weight is 475 lbs when empty of cargo, including an aluminum top. Without the aluminum top, the total weight is 390 lbs. Is it easy to operate? Absolutely, yes!
Can My Vehicle Tow a ScootaTrailer?
Every make & model of vehicle can tow a ScootaTrailer with up to a 600 lb. electric wheelchair or scooter inside, and they can all do it at any highway speed without the complication of overloading the vehicle or the hitch.
This includes sub-compacts, compacts, medium & large vehicles, trucks & SUV’s. Sub-compact examples: Honda Fit, Ford Focus, Toyota Prius, VW Beetle, Nissan Versa, Smart Car, etc., etc., and the list goes on. The sub-compacts just mentioned, only have a 100 lb. – 1,000 lb. rated hitch available. That’s still more than enough for either trailer, with ANY chair or scooter up to 600 lbs. The most important fact to know is this: ANY vehicle that a hitch is made for is enough vehicle & enough hitch!

What if my order hasn’t arrived by the time it was supposed to?
What happens if my order for an ScootaTrailer is damaged?
- When your item arrives, do not sign any forms until you have opened the boxes and ascertained that everything is as it should be.
- If the external boxes are damaged, make sure to note this next to your signature. Make sure to inspect the contents before signing.
- If your item is damaged in a way that the entire item needs to be replaced, just refuse the entire delivery.
- If your item is damaged in a way that a spare part needs to be sent out and installed, accept the delivery, and list any damaged items next to your signature.
- If you find damage after having signed for delivery without any damage notes, this can be really problematic as the shipping company may try to shift the blame onto you. This is why it’s important to check for damage, especially if the outside boxes are damaged.
