It is coded K0856 and K0861 as a Group 3 power base, which puts it in the class of chairs built for full time users who need real positioning technology rather than a basic captain seat. Standard power tilt runs 0 to 50 degrees and power recline runs 85 to 160 degrees with 6 inches of shear reduction, so pressure relief and posture changes happen at the joystick without a transfer.
What separates the Axcel from most Group 3 bases at this level is the ride. Front wheel drive puts the 14 by 3 inch drive tires first over thresholds, ramps and grass, and the frame carries full hydraulic shock absorbers at both ends with large 9 inch casters trailing behind. I needed a mobility scooter that was auto-folding, but not overly engineered where problems can arise, was not too heavy to lift by myself, would easily fit in the trunk of my car, and not be overly expensive. Wishful thinking I thought. Until I discovered the MOJO on my computer. This scooter ticked all my boxes, and more. It is comfortable, well built, is easy to charge the batteries without having to bend down to remove them, and even if you do want to remove them they are accessible from the standing position. the tiller is fully adjustable as are the arm rests, the folding/unfolding functions are easily initiated, and the axle release is easily achieved. A well engineered piece of kit. Now, for the customer service: I can honestly say that I have never come across anything like it; it is absolutely perfect. The gentleman I dealt with 'bent over backwards' to help me without pressuring me into a purchase, and to ensure I was buying a scooter that was right for me. Because I live in New Zealand I knew I was creating a lot more work for him, but he never complained. This and my MOJO are very much appreciated.
