The Wheelchair Carrier Model 117 Mini Electric Lift is a hitch mounted platform lift sized for the lightest end of the mobility fleet. It carries travel scooters and folding power chairs weighing up to 150 lb on a 22 by 37 inch usable platform, and it does the lifting for you. Drive your scooter onto the lowered platform, cinch the two built in retractable ratchets, and hold the switch box rocker while the electric actuator raises the deck to travel height.
At 88 lb the Model 117 is one of the lightest powered lifts Wheelchair Carrier builds, which is exactly the point. It slides into a 1 1/4 inch or 2 inch square receiver on a Class II or Class III hitch, so it works behind sedans and small crossovers that could never run a full size powerchair lift. Ground clearance of up to 24 inches keeps the folded platform from scraping on driveways and parking ramps.
The whole assembly is fabricated from steel with an e-coat dip and powder topcoat, the same corrosion protection process used on automotive frames, and every unit is made in the USA. When you park, the platform folds itself up into a vertical stowaway position so the back of your vehicle stays short and visible in the mirror.
Power comes from your vehicle battery through the included 21 foot wire harness, which carries a 30 amp resettable circuit breaker so a fault trips the breaker instead of your vehicle wiring. Wheelchair Carrier backs the lift with a 3 year warranty.

Two retractable ratchet straps come standard in the box and are the primary tie down for the scooter, so most owners need nothing extra on day one. Wheelchair Carrier also offers bolt on ratchet strap kits as replacements or spares through its dealer network. If your vehicle has a 1 1/4 inch receiver, confirm the hitch class rating with us before ordering since the lift itself fits either receiver size.

The Model 117 runs off your vehicle's 12V battery through the included 21 foot harness, so there is nothing to charge and no separate battery pack to maintain. A handheld switch box raises and lowers the platform, and the 30 amp resettable breaker protects the circuit if anything binds.
Daily loading takes about a minute. Lower the platform to the ground, drive or roll the scooter on, pull out the two retractable ratchets and hook them to the frame, then raise the platform to travel height. When the lift is empty it automatically folds up into its vertical stowaway position, keeping rear overhang short for parking.
Because the lift adds 88 lb of tongue weight plus the weight of your scooter, check that the combined figure stays inside your hitch's tongue rating. The 24 inch ground clearance handles steep driveway transitions, but as with any hitch carrier you should glance back after big dips the first few drives to learn your vehicle's clearance.

I needed a mobility scooter that was auto-folding, but not overly engineered where problems can arise, was not too heavy to lift by myself, would easily fit in the trunk of my car, and not be overly expensive. Wishful thinking I thought. Until I discovered the MOJO on my computer. This scooter ticked all my boxes, and more. It is comfortable, well built, is easy to charge the batteries without having to bend down to remove them, and even if you do want to remove them they are accessible from the standing position. the tiller is fully adjustable as are the arm rests, the folding/unfolding functions are easily initiated, and the axle release is easily achieved. A well engineered piece of kit. Now, for the customer service: I can honestly say that I have never come across anything like it; it is absolutely perfect. The gentleman I dealt with 'bent over backwards' to help me without pressuring me into a purchase, and to ensure I was buying a scooter that was right for me. Because I live in New Zealand I knew I was creating a lot more work for him, but he never complained. This and my MOJO are very much appreciated. Found the type of Scooter. I wanted to buy online not everyone has the kind of scooter. I have . Talked to Raphael Perlmann about the scooter I wanted.
