Overview

Porto Mobility Elevon lift assembled, angled view from the opposite side

The Porto Mobility Elevon is a portable telescopic rail lift that raises a power chair weighing up to 70 lbs as high as 60 inches. The lift itself weighs 28 lbs and needs no installation. It normally runs off the wheelchair's joystick connection, and the Lift Power Kit gives it a battery of its own.

The Elevon weighs 28 lbs and measures 28 x 18 x 11 in. Its telescopic rail extends to raise a power chair as high as 60 inches, and folding support legs keep it steady during the lift. Nothing bolts into your vehicle, so the lift can ride along with the chair and come out of the car when you don't need it.

Out of the box the Elevon takes its power and its control from the wheelchair's joystick connection through a wired link. That keeps the lift light, though it means your chair needs to offer that connection. If you want the lift to run on its own, add the Porto Lift Power Kit, which supplies an independent battery and charger.

How the Elevon Compares

Porto makes three portable lifts. The Elevon is the compact one for lighter chairs, rated at 70 lbs, and it reaches up to 60 inches against about 55 inches for the Stron. The Rovan carries up to 100 lbs on a level scissor platform and has its own built in battery. The Stron is the heavy hoist, rated for 220 lbs and for the Ranger Magnum and The Beast, and it weighs about 53 lbs.

Warranty

What does the Elevon warranty cover?

The Elevon is covered by Porto Mobility's standard warranty, since Porto does not list separate terms for this model. Those standard terms cover the frame for 3 years and the electronics and batteries for 1 year.

Porto does not cover damage from abuse, such as taking it through deep water or dropping it. When a covered part fails, Porto sends the replacement part and connects you with a local service provider for the repair. If something goes wrong, contact us first and we will take the claim to Porto's technical team for you.

How much weight can the Porto Elevon lift?

Porto rates the Elevon for power chairs up to 70 lbs and lists a lift height of up to 60 inches. Weigh your chair with its batteries in. If it comes in over 70 lbs, look at the Rovan, rated for 100 lbs, or the Stron, rated for 220 lbs.

Does the Porto Elevon need its own battery?

As standard the Elevon takes its power and control from the wheelchair's joystick connection through a wired link. If your chair does not offer that connection, or you want the lift to run on its own, add the Porto Lift Power Kit, which supplies an independent battery and charger.

Does the Porto Elevon have to be installed in my car?

Porto lists no installation for the Elevon. It weighs 28 lbs, stands on folding support legs and measures 28 x 18 x 11 in, so it can travel with the chair and come out of the car when you don't need it.

How do I order the Elevon?

Add it to your cart on this page and check out, which takes a few minutes. You can pay in full or choose Klarna to spread the cost over monthly payments.

Can I order the Elevon over the phone?

Yes. Call 1-888-233-5563 and we will place the order with you. All we need is your payment method and your shipping address. Extra batteries and other Porto accessories can be added to a phone order.

Does Medicare, Medicaid or private insurance help pay for the Elevon?

We do not work with Medicare and we do not bill private insurance directly. Some private plans will reimburse you after you buy, so it is worth calling your insurer to ask. If they say yes, we are happy to provide an invoice and proof of purchase so you can file for reimbursement.

Notice to Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries. Medicare pays for equipment only when the supplier has a Medicare supplier number. Heavy Duty Mobility does not have one, so Medicare will not pay for anything we sell you. You are personally and fully responsible for payment.

What comes with the Elevon?

Call us before you buy and we will confirm exactly what comes in the box.

How long until my Elevon arrives?

The Elevon ships from Porto Mobility. Porto quotes delivery in about 1 to 5 business days for models in stock, and we email you the expected ship date after you order. If you need it by a certain day, call us before you buy and we will check the timing.

Will I get tracking?

Yes. As soon as your order ships we email you a tracking link so you can follow it to your door.

Can I return the Elevon?

Yes, within 30 days of delivery, as long as it comes back in new condition in its original boxes with all of its parts. A 15% restocking fee applies. You prepay the return shipping, and the original shipping charges are not refunded, so keep the boxes until you are sure. Items sold as open box cannot be returned.

Warranty problems are handled separately and do not count as a return. Please read the full returns policy for the details.

How does the Elevon load a chair?

Stand the lift next to the vehicle opening and open the folding support legs so it has a stable base. With the chair secured as the instructions show, the wired control extends the telescopic rail and raises the chair, up to 60 inches at full extension. Keep the chair at 70 lbs or less including its batteries.

Where does the Elevon get its power?

As standard it draws power from the wheelchair through the joystick connection, and you control it through that same wired link. If your chair lacks a suitable connection, or you would rather save the chair's battery for driving, the Lift Power Kit adds an independent battery and charger. Call us and we can check your chair before you order.

How do I store it between trips?

Retract the rail and fold the support legs and the Elevon packs down to 28 x 18 x 11 in. It weighs 28 lbs, so plan for that when you carry it to and from the car.

Which chairs and vehicles does the Elevon suit?

The Elevon is rated for 70 lbs, so it suits power chairs that weigh 70 lbs or less with their batteries in. Heavier chairs need the Rovan, rated for 100 lbs, or the Stron. Because the lift needs no installation you can move it between vehicles, and its 60 inch reach can clear a raised cargo floor. Measure your cargo opening for both the folded chair and the lift before you buy.

Is Porto Mobility a good brand?

Porto Mobility designs and sells folding power wheelchairs, lightweight folding mobility scooters and portable chair lifts. Its Ranger chairs fold small enough for a car trunk or SUV cargo area, on carbon fiber or aluminum alloy frames depending on the model, and Porto publishes a weight capacity for each chair, scooter and lift.

Porto's standard warranty covers the frame for 3 years and the electronics and batteries for 1 year, and some models carry different terms. When a covered part fails, Porto sends the replacement part and connects you with a local service provider. As an authorized dealer we stay your first point of contact and take the claim to Porto's technical team for you.

How is my lift delivered?

Delivery to your curb is free. Check the packaging and the lift before you sign for it, and call 1-888-233-5563 if anything looks wrong.

Can I pay over time?

Yes. Choose Klarna at checkout to pay over time. See how financing works.

Can I talk to someone before I buy?

Yes. Call 1-888-233-5563. Real people answer, business hours and weekends.
