Overview

Porto Mobility Rovan lift raised on its scissor frame with a black carry bag on the platform

The Porto Mobility Rovan is a portable scissor lift with a level 28.5 x 16 in platform rated for 100 lbs. It weighs 25 lbs including its built in 24V lithium battery, lies flat at 9 inches tall and raises with a two button remote. Porto backs it with a 1 year warranty.

The Rovan carries a power chair on a flat platform rather than hanging it from a hoist, so the chair stays level as it rises. Lowered, the unit measures 29.5 x 18.9 x 9 in. Raised, it stands 35.8 in tall. An interlocking belt strap holds the chair to the Oxford fabric platform while it moves.

Power comes from a built in 24V 5Ah lithium ion battery driving a 75W motor, so the Rovan doesn't need the chair or a separate battery kit to work. A full charge takes 6 to 8 hours. The frame is anodized aluminum to resist corrosion, and it rolls on rubber wheels.

Who the Rovan Suits

The Rovan suits owners of midweight folding power chairs who want the chair carried flat and level. Its 100 lb rating covers chairs too heavy for the 70 lb Elevon. If your chair weighs close to 100 lbs or more with batteries, choose the Stron instead, since it is rated for 220 lbs and for the Ranger Magnum and The Beast.

What does the Rovan warranty cover?

Porto covers the Rovan with a 1 year warranty. Call us for the full terms before you order.

Porto does not cover damage from abuse, such as taking it through deep water or dropping it. How much can the Porto Rovan lift and how high does it go?

Porto rates the Rovan for a folded power chair of up to 100 lbs. The chair sits on a 28.5 x 16 in platform, and the whole unit stands 35.8 in tall when raised and 9 in tall when lowered.

What battery does the Porto Rovan use and how long does it take to charge?

A built in 24V 5Ah lithium ion battery powers the Rovan, so it does not need the Lift Power Kit. Porto lists 6 to 8 hours to charge on the 29.2V charger.

Can the Porto Rovan lift a Ranger Magnum or The Beast?

The Magnum weighs 98 lbs with its batteries, which leaves only 2 lbs of margin under the Rovan's 100 lb rating. The Beast weighs 90 lbs before its two 7 lb batteries go in, which puts it over 100 lbs. Porto rates the Stron, at 220 lbs, for both chairs, and that is the lift we suggest for either one.

How do I order the Rovan?

Add it to your cart on this page and check out, which takes a few minutes. You can pay in full or choose Klarna to spread the cost over monthly payments.

Can I order the Rovan over the phone?

Yes. Call 1-888-233-5563 and we will place the order with you. All we need is your payment method and your shipping address. Extra batteries and other Porto accessories can be added to a phone order.

Does Medicare, Medicaid or private insurance help pay for the Rovan?

We do not work with Medicare and we do not bill private insurance directly. Some private plans will reimburse you after you buy, so it is worth calling your insurer to ask. If they say yes, we are happy to provide an invoice and proof of purchase so you can file for reimbursement.

Notice to Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries. Medicare pays for equipment only when the supplier has a Medicare supplier number. Heavy Duty Mobility does not have one, so Medicare will not pay for anything we sell you. You are personally and fully responsible for payment.

What comes with the Rovan?

Call us before you buy and we will confirm exactly what comes in the box.

How long until my Rovan arrives?

The Rovan ships from Porto Mobility. Porto quotes delivery in about 1 to 5 business days for models in stock, and we email you the expected ship date after you order. If you need it by a certain day, call us before you buy and we will check the timing.

Will I get tracking?

Yes. As soon as your order ships we email you a tracking link so you can follow it to your door.

Can I return the Rovan?

Yes, within 30 days of delivery, as long as it comes back in new condition in its original boxes with all of its parts. A 15% restocking fee applies. You prepay the return shipping, and the original shipping charges are not refunded, so keep the boxes until you are sure. Items sold as open box cannot be returned.

Warranty problems are handled separately and do not count as a return. Please read the full returns policy for the details.

How does the Rovan load a chair?

With the platform lowered, roll or set the chair onto the 28.5 x 16 in platform and fasten it with the interlocking belt strap. Then use the two button remote to raise the platform. The lift is rated for 100 lbs, so weigh your chair with its batteries before you rely on it.

How do I charge it?

The battery is built in, so you charge the Rovan as a unit with its 29.2V charger. Allow 6 to 8 hours for a full charge, and top it up before a trip so the lift is ready when you arrive.

How do I store it?

Lowered all the way, the Rovan is 9 inches tall with a 29.5 x 18.9 in footprint, so it can lie flat in a cargo area or on a garage shelf. The anodized aluminum frame is finished to resist corrosion.

Which chairs and vehicles does the Rovan suit?

Any power chair that weighs 100 lbs or less with its batteries is within the Rovan's rating. Raised, the unit stands 35.8 in tall, so measure from the ground to your cargo floor and make sure it sits at or below that height.

For the Ranger Magnum and The Beast we recommend the Stron, since those chairs weigh close to or above 100 lbs once the batteries are in.

Is Porto Mobility a good brand?

Porto Mobility designs and sells folding power wheelchairs, lightweight folding mobility scooters and portable chair lifts. Its Ranger chairs fold small enough for a car trunk or SUV cargo area, on carbon fiber or aluminum alloy frames depending on the model, and Porto publishes a weight capacity for each chair, scooter and lift.

Porto's standard warranty covers the frame for 3 years and the electronics and batteries for 1 year, and some models carry different terms. When a covered part fails, Porto sends the replacement part and connects you with a local service provider. As an authorized dealer we stay your first point of contact and take the claim to Porto's technical team for you.

How is my lift delivered?

Delivery to your curb is free. Check the packaging and the lift before you sign for it, and call 1-888-233-5563 if anything looks wrong.

Can I pay over time?

Yes. Choose Klarna at checkout to pay over time. See how financing works.

Can I talk to someone before I buy?

Yes. Call 1-888-233-5563. Real people answer, business hours and weekends.
