The Wheelchair Carrier Model 101 Electric Tilt n Tote is the powered version of the classic Tilt n Tote, built for people who can transfer into a vehicle but do not want to wrestle a 40 plus pound folded wheelchair into a trunk. Press the button and the steel platform tilts down to the pavement. Roll the folded chair on, cinch the two retractable ratchet straps, press again and the carrier lifts the chair to a full 24 inches of ground clearance for driveways, ramps and rough pavement.
The platform accepts manual folding wheelchairs up to 20 by 13 inches folded and 29 inches long, with a 150 lb weight capacity that covers standard and most heavy duty manual chairs. The carrier itself weighs 80 lb and slides into either a 1 1/4 inch or a 2 inch square receiver on a Class II or Class III hitch, so it works on most sedans, crossovers, SUVs and vans without vehicle modification.
Power comes straight from the vehicle battery through the included 21 foot wire harness, protected by a 30 amp resettable circuit breaker. When the chair is not aboard, the platform folds up into a compact stowaway position tight against the bumper. The all steel frame gets an e coat plus powder finish for rust resistance and is backed by a 3 year transferable warranty from a company that has been building carriers in Wauseon Ohio since 1977.

Key safety notes. Always secure the chair with both retractable ratchet straps before driving. Confirm your hitch is rated Class II or higher and that tongue weight allows the 80 lb carrier plus your chair. The 30 amp breaker resets itself but repeated trips mean the wiring should be inspected. Never ride on the platform and never load a chair with a person in it.
Daily use is a three step routine. Press the switch to tilt the platform down, roll the folded chair onto the deck between the side rails, then pull the two retractable ratchet straps over the frame and click them tight. Press the switch again and the actuator lifts and levels the platform for travel with 24 inches of clearance under the chair.
The carrier draws power from the vehicle battery through the supplied 21 foot harness, so there is nothing to charge and no separate battery to maintain. With no chair aboard, fold the platform up into its stowaway position to shorten the footprint behind the vehicle and keep the deck clean. For winter storage or car washes the whole unit pulls out of the receiver like any hitch cargo rack, though at 80 lb it is a two person or dolly job.
It fits any vehicle with a Class II or Class III hitch and slides into either a 1 1/4 inch or a 2 inch square receiver. Check that your hitch tongue weight rating covers the 80 lb carrier plus the weight of your chair.

I needed a mobility scooter that was auto-folding, but not overly engineered where problems can arise, was not too heavy to lift by myself, would easily fit in the trunk of my car, and not be overly expensive. Wishful thinking I thought. Until I discovered the MOJO on my computer. This scooter ticked all my boxes, and more. It is comfortable, well built, is easy to charge the batteries without having to bend down to remove them, and even if you do want to remove them they are accessible from the standing position. the tiller is fully adjustable as are the arm rests, the folding/unfolding functions are easily initiated, and the axle release is easily achieved. A well engineered piece of kit. Now, for the customer service: I can honestly say that I have never come across anything like it; it is absolutely perfect. The gentleman I dealt with 'bent over backwards' to help me without pressuring me into a purchase, and to ensure I was buying a scooter that was right for me. Because I live in New Zealand I knew I was creating a lot more work for him, but he never complained. This and my MOJO are very much appreciated.
