The Pony Express 2085 is a motorized medication cart from Electro Kinetic Technologies. Two customizable drawer columns sit on a powered drive system, so a nurse takes a full round of medication down the corridor with a thumb wheel on the handle instead of leaning into a loaded cart. It is built for units where the med pass runs all day and the cart never really stops.
EK Tech designed it around the injury numbers. Research from the Liberty Mutual Research Institute for Safety found push and pull forces as low as 35 pounds contribute to musculoskeletal injuries at work, which is why many hospitals now limit the force staff are allowed to apply. Carpet, thresholds and inclines push a loaded medication cart past that quickly. Motorizing the cart takes the load off the caregiver rather than asking them to push harder.
The cart measures 54 in long, 27 in wide and 51 in high, runs 0 to 3 mph on variable speed, is rated to a 6 degree maximum incline and covers up to 10 miles of operation on a single charge. Deep cycle AGM batteries give over 2x the life of standard AGM batteries, and the UL, cUL and CE listed on board charger runs on 120 or 240 VAC through a 10 ft hospital grade retractable cord. Regenerative dynamic braking stops it under control at any speed, an automatic holding brake keeps it still at zero speed even on a slope, and a horn, key switch, emergency stop and high and low speed switch sit at the operator station. It rolls on 6 in ball bearing full swivel rubber casters with non marking tires, two of them with a toe locking brake, and corner bumpers protect your walls.
Both columns are configured to your med pass. EK Tech lists drawer heights of 3 in, 4 in, 6 in and 9 in, adjustable drawer dividers, and locking from individual drawer locks and column locks up to an electronic keypad with a PIN code or a proximity card reader. Waste and sharps containers, a chart holder and a large basket are on the accessory list, and the paint comes in 16 colors. Because each build is different we quote it. Variable speed runs from 0 to 3 mph, so the cart moves at walking pace beside the nurse, and it covers up to 10 miles of operation on a single charge. A battery charge indicator on the cart shows the state of charge and the on board charger tops it up from any 120 or 240 VAC outlet.

The Pony Express 2085 medication cart carries the Electro Kinetic Technologies limited warranty on the frame and drive system, with the exact term confirmed on your quote. It does not cover service or transportation costs, normal wear items, damage from misuse, unauthorized work or modifications, or outdoor storage. Shipping damage and incidental damages are also not covered. The warranty is valid for the original buyer with a sales receipt, and any warranty changes need approval from Electro Kinetic Technologies, LLC.

I needed a mobility scooter that was auto-folding, but not overly engineered where problems can arise, was not too heavy to lift by myself, would easily fit in the trunk of my car, and not be overly expensive. Wishful thinking I thought. Until I discovered the MOJO on my computer. This scooter ticked all my boxes, and more. It is comfortable, well built, is easy to charge the batteries without having to bend down to remove them, and even if you do want to remove them they are accessible from the standing position. the tiller is fully adjustable as are the arm rests, the folding/unfolding functions are easily initiated, and the axle release is easily achieved. A well engineered piece of kit. Now, for the customer service: I can honestly say that I have never come across anything like it; it is absolutely perfect. The gentleman I dealt with 'bent over backwards' to help me without pressuring me into a purchase, and to ensure I was buying a scooter that was right for me.
