The Pony Express 1085 is a motorized endoscopy cart from Electro Kinetic Technologies. It is a customizable two column platform on a powered drive system, so the tower of scopes, processors, monitors and supplies moves between rooms without a technician leaning into it. The operator sets speed with a thumb wheel on the ergonomic handle and walks alongside.
EK Tech built this cart around a safety problem. Research from the Liberty Mutual Research Institute for Safety found that push and pull forces as low as 35 pounds contribute to musculoskeletal injuries, and many hospitals now limit how hard staff may push equipment. A loaded endoscopy cart on carpet, over thresholds or up an incline easily beats that number, and the motorized drive removes the force from the caregiver instead of asking them to work around it.
The cart measures 54 in long, 27 in wide and 51 in high, runs from 0 to 3 mph on a variable speed drive, handles inclines rated to 6 degrees and covers up to 10 miles of operation on a single charge. It rides on 6 in ball bearing full swivel rubber casters, two with a toe locking brake, and a center wheel suspension and drive system gives it the turning behavior you want in a procedure corridor. Regenerative dynamic braking brings it to a controlled stop at any speed and an automatic holding brake stops it rolling at zero speed, even on a slope. A horn, key switch, emergency stop and high and low speed switch sit at the operator station, and the UL, cUL and CE listed on board charger works on 120 or 240 VAC through a 10 ft hospital grade retractable cord.
Both columns are yours to configure with drawers 3 in, 6 in or 9 in high, shelves and a keyboard shelf, and the cart accepts an articulating monitor mount, a hospital grade power strip, an isolation transformer, sharps and waste containers, a chart holder and a large basket. The variable speed drive runs from 0 to 3 mph, which is walking pace, and the cart covers up to 10 miles of operation on a single charge. Deep cycle AGM batteries give over 2x the life of standard AGM batteries and a charge indicator on the cart shows where you are.
Both columns are fully customizable. EK Tech fits drawers 3 in, 6 in or 9 in high, shelves and a keyboard shelf in whatever mix you need, and three removable rear panels with holes for electrical connections let your equipment cabling run cleanly inside the cart.
Locking options are individual drawer locks, column locks, an electronic keypad with a PIN code, or an electronic keypad with a proximity card reader. The electrical cabinet has its own keyed lock as standard.

The on board smart charging system is UL, cUL and CE listed and works on 120 or 240 VAC at 50/60 Hz through a 10 ft hospital grade retractable power cord. Plug it in at the end of a list and it is ready for the next day.

The Pony Express 1085 endoscopy cart carries the Electro Kinetic Technologies limited warranty on the frame and drive system, with the exact term confirmed on your quote. It does not cover service or transportation costs, normal wear items, damage from misuse, unauthorized work or modifications, or outdoor storage. Shipping damage and incidental damages are also not covered. The warranty is valid for the original buyer with a sales receipt, and any warranty changes need approval from Electro Kinetic Technologies, LLC.

I needed a mobility scooter that was auto-folding, but not overly engineered where problems can arise, was not too heavy to lift by myself, would easily fit in the trunk of my car, and not be overly expensive. Wishful thinking I thought. Until I discovered the MOJO on my computer. This scooter ticked all my boxes, and more. It is comfortable, well built, is easy to charge the batteries without having to bend down to remove them, and even if you do want to remove them they are accessible from the standing position. the tiller is fully adjustable as are the arm rests, the folding/unfolding functions are easily initiated, and the axle release is easily achieved. A well engineered piece of kit. Now, for the customer service: I can honestly say that I have never come across anything like it; it is absolutely perfect. The gentleman I dealt with 'bent over backwards' to help me without pressuring me into a purchase, and to ensure I was buying a scooter that was right for me.
