The Ranger Discovery XL widens the Discovery to 21 in between the armrests and raises the weight capacity to 440 lbs, while the frame stays at 50 lbs without batteries. Dual 250W motors reach an adjustable top speed of 5 mph, and two LiFePO4 lithium batteries cover up to 18 miles.
The XL is the middle width in the Discovery line. Porto measures 21 in between the armrests, and the open chair is 34 in long, 24 in wide and 36 in tall. It folds in about 3 seconds, and Porto lists a 13 in folded height.
Two 250W brushless motors run on a pair of 24V 6Ah LiFePO4 batteries, with intelligent electromagnetic brakes. The detachable joystick steers in any direction, and the top speed can be turned down from 5 mph for indoor driving.
The XL suits a rider up to 440 lbs who wants a folding chair a helper can still lift. Porto lists the same 50 lb frame weight as the standard Discovery even though the XL is rated for 40 lbs more and gives more room between the armrests.
Next to the standard Discovery, the XL opens up to 21 in between the armrests and carries 440 lbs against 400, and Porto lists its range at up to 18 miles against 20. The Discovery XXL goes to 24 in between the armrests and a 26 in overall width at the same 440 lb rating. If you want a reclining back in a similar size, the Ranger Maestro XL has a 21 in seat and the same 440 lb capacity.

The Ranger Discovery XL ships from Porto Mobility. Porto quotes delivery in about 1 to 5 business days for models in stock, and we email you the expected ship date after you order. If you need it by a certain day, call us before you buy and we will check the timing.
Yes. As soon as your order ships we email you a tracking link so you can follow it to your door.
Yes, within 30 days of delivery, as long as it comes back in new condition in its original boxes with all of its parts. A 15% restocking fee applies. You prepay the return shipping, and the original shipping charges are not refunded, so keep the boxes until you are sure. Items sold as open box cannot be returned.

Porto says the XL folds in about 3 seconds and lists a 13 in folded height. Take the batteries off first if you plan to lift it, so you are handling the 50 lb frame alone.
The joystick detaches from the chair and steers in any direction. Top speed adjusts up to 5 mph, which lets you keep it slow indoors and open it up on a sidewalk.
The two 24V 6Ah LiFePO4 batteries charge on a 24V 2A charger. Extra batteries are available by phone if you want a spare for longer days out.
Porto rates it for slopes up to 25 degrees. Take any slope slowly and straight on, never across it. It clears 3.7 in and turns in a 33 in radius. Porto does not publish a water resistance rating for the XL, so keep it out of rain and standing water.

I needed a mobility scooter that was auto-folding, but not overly engineered where problems can arise, was not too heavy to lift by myself, would easily fit in the trunk of my car, and not be overly expensive. Wishful thinking I thought. Until I discovered the MOJO on my computer. This scooter ticked all my boxes, and more. It is comfortable, well built, is easy to charge the batteries without having to bend down to remove them, and even if you do want to remove them they are accessible from the standing position. the tiller is fully adjustable as are the arm rests, the folding/unfolding functions are easily initiated, and the axle release is easily achieved. A well engineered piece of kit. Now, for the customer service: I can honestly say that I have never come across anything like it; it is absolutely perfect. The gentleman I dealt with 'bent over backwards' to help me without pressuring me into a purchase, and to ensure I was buying a scooter that was right for me. Because I live in New Zealand I knew I was creating a lot more work for him, but he never complained. This and my MOJO are very much appreciated. Found the type of Scooter. I wanted to buy online not everyone has the kind of scooter. I have . Talked to Raphael Perlmann about the scooter I wanted.
