The Pony Express 1040-ME is the medium-deck member of the Electro Kinetic Technologies motorized platform cart family, built to move loads up to 1,000 pounds without manual pushing or pulling. Its 49 inch long by 25.5 inch wide deck sits at a 15 inch height, giving operators more usable surface than the standard 1040-E while keeping the same drivetrain, controls, and 1,000 pound rating. The cart is self-propelled, so a single worker can transport heavy or awkward loads across a facility with light fingertip effort.
Power comes from a maintenance free permanent magnet motor driving a front wheel transaxle, fed by a 44 Ah AGM battery that supports roughly 8 hours of operation per charge. The internal charger plugs into standard 120/240 VAC and brings the pack back to full in about 4 hours. Two speed ranges, from a crawling 1.5 mph up to 3.0 mph, let the operator match pace to the environment, and electromagnetic regenerative braking with an automatic holding brake keeps the cart secure on grades up to 15 degrees.
Like the rest of the Pony Express line, the 1040-ME is proudly made in America with a welded steel frame, a non-skid deck, and full wrap-around bumpers. It suits manufacturing, healthcare, retail, pharmaceutical, and warehouse operations that need to cut the injury risk and labor cost of pushing loaded carts by hand. The 1040-ME uses the same 1,000 lb drivetrain and controls as the 1040-E but carries a longer 49 in by 25.5 in deck instead of the 32 in by 24 in standard deck. It is the medium-length option for operators who need more surface area without moving up to the long 1040-LE.
It is rated for loads up to 1,000 lb and can handle inclines up to 15 degrees at full capacity, with an automatic holding brake that keeps it from rolling when stopped on a grade.
The 44 Ah AGM battery supports about 8 hours of operation per charge. The built-in charger plugs into a standard 120/240 VAC outlet and brings the battery back to full in approximately 4 hours.
There are two speed settings. The low setting runs from 0 to 1.5 mph for tight or crowded spaces, and the high setting runs from 0 to 3.0 mph for open floor.

The Pony Express 1040-E Motorized Platform Carts comes with a 5-year warranty on the frame and motor. It doesn't cover service/transportation costs, normal wear items, damage from misuse, unauthorized work or modifications, and outdoor use. Shipping damage and incidental damages are also not covered. Warranty only valid for original buyer with a sales receipt. Any warranty changes need approval from Electro Kinetic Technologies, LLC.

I needed a mobility scooter that was auto-folding, but not overly engineered where problems can arise, was not too heavy to lift by myself, would easily fit in the trunk of my car, and not be overly expensive. Wishful thinking I thought. Until I discovered the MOJO on my computer. This scooter ticked all my boxes, and more. It is comfortable, well built, is easy to charge the batteries without having to bend down to remove them, and even if you do want to remove them they are accessible from the standing position. the tiller is fully adjustable as are the arm rests, the folding/unfolding functions are easily initiated, and the axle release is easily achieved. A well engineered piece of kit. Now, for the customer service: I can honestly say that I have never come across anything like it; it is absolutely perfect. The gentleman I dealt with 'bent over backwards' to help me without pressuring me into a purchase, and to ensure I was buying a scooter that was right for me. Because I live in New Zealand I knew I was creating a lot more work for him, but he never complained. This and my MOJO are very much appreciated. I am very thankful for the day I first saw the MOJO on the internet. I I now own my very own MOJO.

The person I talked with was very professional. He knew what products I may like, but in the end it was my choice of what to buy, or not buy.
