The tools ride on a powered cart that the technician walks alongside, which matters most in large facilities and on campuses where the trip between the shop and the job is measured in minutes rather than steps, and it removes the repeated pushing and pulling of heavy cabinets that wears people out and causes strains.
There are three ways EK Tech builds one. The casters can come off your existing manual tool cart so the cart body mounts directly onto a Pony Express motorized platform cart of a suitable size. A tool cabinet or a workbench can be mounted onto a motorized platform cart from the start. Or an EK Tech retrofit kit can motorize a manual tool cart that your team already knows and likes. All three keep the tools and the drawer layout your technicians are used to.
Two things are worth thinking about before the cart is specified. EK Tech suggests choosing a cart larger than the tool chest itself so there is room on the deck for parts, fittings and whatever else the job needs. And the deck height that a tool cabinet mounts to is about 12 inches above the floor, which usually raises the top of the cabinet by a few inches compared with the casters it sat on before, so the top drawer and work surface end up a little higher than the crew is used to.
From there the build is yours. Payload capacity is scalable, decks can be made longer to take bigger chests, and controls can be side mounted, wireless, on a pendant or at dual stations. Frames are available in stainless steel and aluminum, and EK Tech will add your branding, color, logo, labeling and operator manuals. Collision detect systems watch for obstacles in the travel zone, dual independent center wheel drives handle heavy loads that also need to turn sharply, an automatic retractable drive turns the cart into a towable trailer, converters can power off board equipment, and lithium iron phosphate batteries are available. Once your order is confirmed we give you the current factory lead time with your quote, and transit typically adds three to seven business days depending on your distance. We coordinate dock delivery or liftgate service with you when the build is scheduled.

The Pony Express Custom Tool Cart carries the Electro Kinetic Technologies limited warranty on the frame and drive system, with the exact term confirmed on your quote. It does not cover service or transportation costs, normal wear items, damage from misuse, unauthorized work or modifications, or outdoor storage. Shipping damage and incidental damages are also not covered. The warranty is valid for the original buyer with a sales receipt, and any warranty changes need approval from Electro Kinetic Technologies, LLC.

I needed a mobility scooter that was auto-folding, but not overly engineered where problems can arise, was not too heavy to lift by myself, would easily fit in the trunk of my car, and not be overly expensive. Wishful thinking I thought. Until I discovered the MOJO on my computer. This scooter ticked all my boxes, and more. It is comfortable, well built, is easy to charge the batteries without having to bend down to remove them, and even if you do want to remove them they are accessible from the standing position. the tiller is fully adjustable as are the arm rests, the folding/unfolding functions are easily initiated, and the axle release is easily achieved. A well engineered piece of kit. Now, for the customer service: I can honestly say that I have never come across anything like it; it is absolutely perfect. The gentleman I dealt with 'bent over backwards' to help me without pressuring me into a purchase, and to ensure I was buying a scooter that was right for me. Because I live in New Zealand I knew I was creating a lot more work for him, but he never complained. This and my MOJO are very much appreciated.
