Built to order in Wisconsin, the Pony Express 1052 combines a powered drive system with a battery hydraulic scissor table so one operator can move and raise loads up to 2500 lb. Choose 24, 36 or 48 inches of vertical travel and a platform sized to your exact job.
The Pony Express 1052 is a self propelled scissor lift cart from Electro Kinetic Technologies that pairs a battery powered drive system with a hydraulic scissor table. One operator can load at floor friendly height, drive the cart across the plant at up to 3 mph, then raise as much as 2500 lb to the exact working height the next station needs. Every push, pull and manual lift that normally happens during a material transfer is handled by the cart instead of a worker.
The signature safety feature is crawl speed. Any time the platform is not fully lowered, the cart automatically limits forward and reverse travel to a quarter of normal speed, so the operator can still nudge a raised load into final position without ever moving fast with a high center of gravity. EK Tech can also configure the cart to lock out travel completely whenever the platform is up.
The 1052 comes in six base configurations that pair a 2000 or 2500 lb capacity with 24, 36 or 48 inches of vertical travel, and standard builds start at a low 17.5 inch lowered height. Platforms run from a standard 26 x 40 inches up to a maximum 36 x 84 inches. Because each unit is built to order in Wisconsin, EK Tech engineers routinely tailor the deck, controls and safety package to the application. Working units are in service everywhere from window and door manufacturing to aerospace packaging lines and the Bay Area Rapid Transit system.

The 1052 comes in 2,000 lb and 2,500 lb capacity builds. Each capacity is offered with 24, 36 or 48 in of vertical travel, which makes six standard configurations, and EK Tech can engineer capacities above 2,500 lb on request.
Standard 1052 builds start at a 17.5 in lowered height. With 24, 36 or 48 in of vertical travel, the platform tops out at 41.5, 53.5 or 65.5 in. Custom decks can shift these heights slightly, so check the figures on your quote.
Yes, but only at crawl speed. Whenever the platform is not fully lowered, the cart limits forward and reverse travel to 25 percent of normal speed, so the operator can fine position a raised load. EK Tech can also set the cart to not travel at all with the platform up.

A deep cycle AGM battery rated for about twice the life of a standard battery powers the cart, and a full charge supports up to 5 miles of driving. The onboard UL and cUL listed smart charger plugs into a 120 or 240 VAC outlet.
Drive speed runs from 0 to 3 mph with a high and low speed switch. Regenerative dynamic braking plus an automatic holding brake handle stopping, and 8 in casters with non-marking tires carry the load.
Up and down are run from a magnetic backed hand pendant on a 10 ft cord. A horn, key switch and emergency stop are standard.
The 1050-EL is the light duty model with a 1,000 lb capacity and a fixed 23 by 43.5 in platform. The 1052 is the heavy duty custom line with 2,000 or 2,500 lb capacity, platforms up to 36 by 84 in, a hydraulic scissor table and a much deeper factory option list.
It can. As a general rule, OSHA 1910.178 covers platform lift trucks, motorized hand trucks and other powered industrial trucks and requires that only trained and authorized operators use them. Whether that applies to your site is the employer's decision, so check with your safety lead first.

I needed a mobility scooter that was auto-folding, but not overly engineered where problems can arise, was not too heavy to lift by myself, would easily fit in the trunk of my car, and not be overly expensive. Wishful thinking I thought. Until I discovered the MOJO on my computer. This scooter ticked all my boxes, and more. It is comfortable, well built, is easy to charge the batteries without having to bend down to remove them, and even if you do want to remove them they are accessible from the standing position. the tiller is fully adjustable as are the arm rests, the folding/unfolding functions are easily initiated, and the axle release is easily achieved. A well engineered piece of kit. Now, for the customer service: I can honestly say that I have never come across anything like it; it is absolutely perfect. The gentleman I dealt with 'bent over backwards' to help me without pressuring me into a purchase, and to ensure I was buying a scooter that was right for me. Because I live in New Zealand I knew I was creating a lot more work for him, but he never complained. This and my MOJO are very much appreciated.
