The 0244-500 Ball Transfer Top replaces the flat deck on a Pony Express 1050-EL motorized electric lift cart with a bed of ball transfers. Once a load is sitting on the balls, one person can slide it and spin it in any direction with a light push instead of lifting it and setting it down again. This is the top you add when the cart is a transfer station as much as it is a lift.
It earns its keep at the moment a load has to leave the cart and go onto a conveyor, a machine bed, a press table or a pallet. The 1050-EL raises the deck from 18.5 in off the floor to 64 in, so the operator brings the load level with the receiving surface and then pushes it across on the balls. Nobody drags the load over the gap and nobody lifts it, which is where the shoulder and back strain in transfer work comes from.
The top is built for the 1050-EL, whose usable platform is 43.5 in long and 23 in wide, and Electro Kinetic Technologies makes it to order in Germantown Wisconsin. EKT does not publish a separate load rating for the top, and how much a ball transfer surface will take depends on the base of the load sitting on it, so tell us the weight and the footprint of what you are moving and we will confirm the setup with the factory. The cart itself is rated at 1,000 lb on a flat surface.

It turns the deck into a bed of ball transfers, so a load resting on it can be pushed in any direction with very little force. You use it where a load has to come off the cart and onto a conveyor, a machine bed or a table without being lifted across the gap.
It is built for the Pony Express 1050-EL, whose usable platform is 43.5 in long by 23 in wide. If you already own a 1050-EL, send us the serial number and we will check with the factory about fitting the top to it.
Electro Kinetic Technologies does not publish a separate load rating for the top. The 1050-EL itself is rated at 1,000 lb on a flat surface. Because a ball transfer surface carries the load on a set of contact points, the safe figure depends on the base of your load, so send us the weight and the footprint and we will confirm it with the factory.
It is a deck made of ball transfers instead of flat steel. A load sitting on the balls can be pushed sideways, forward or spun in place with one hand, so an operator moves it off the cart without lifting. On a lift cart it means the deck comes up to the height of the receiving surface and the load simply slides across.
It is made for the 1050-EL and its 43.5 in by 23 in usable platform. Ordering it with a new cart is the simplest route. For a cart already in service, send us the serial number and we will get a retrofit answer from Electro Kinetic Technologies before you order.
EKT does not publish a rating for the top on its own. The cart is rated at 1,000 lb on a flat surface. Tell us the weight and the base of the load you want to move and we will confirm the right configuration with the factory rather than guess.
Rollers move a load in one direction along the bed, which suits feeding a fixed conveyor line. Ball transfers move a load in any direction, which suits positioning, rotating and handing off to more than one place. If your loads have to be turned or nudged sideways, the ball transfer top is the one. See the gravity roller conveyor top 0244-505.

I needed a mobility scooter that was auto-folding, but not overly engineered where problems can arise, was not too heavy to lift by myself, would easily fit in the trunk of my car, and not be overly expensive. Wishful thinking I thought. Until I discovered the MOJO on my computer. This scooter ticked all my boxes, and more. It is comfortable, well built, is easy to charge the batteries without having to bend down to remove them, and even if you do want to remove them they are accessible from the standing position. the tiller is fully adjustable as are the arm rests, the folding/unfolding functions are easily initiated, and the axle release is easily achieved. A well engineered piece of kit. Now, for the customer service: I can honestly say that I have never come across anything like it; it is absolutely perfect. The gentleman I dealt with 'bent over backwards' to help me without pressuring me into a purchase, and to ensure I was buying a scooter that was right for me. Found the type of Scooter. I wanted to buy online not everyone has the kind of scooter. I have . Talked to Raphael Perlmann about the scooter I wanted.
