When you get your ScootaTrailer, you’ll find this yellow warranty sheet attached to your DMV registration documents. You may also receive a digital copy by email. If you choose to use the digital copy, it must be printed in color, filled out completely, and mailed back to activate your warranty. We understand that shipping damage can sometimes happen, and we want you to feel confident that it will always be taken care of. ScootaTrailer® has a clear and flexible damage protocol to make the process simple for customers.Inspecting Your Delivery
If you are allowed to open the box, inspect the unit carefully before signing. If you notice any damage, such as tears, holes, scratches, dents, or other visible signs, you must note the damage clearly on the driver’s delivery receipt before signing. This is the most important step to protect your claim. If the freight carrier does not allow you to open the box, write on the delivery receipt that the driver was “unwilling to allow inspection of the box.” This ensures you are still protected if hidden damage is discovered later. Always take pictures of the box and the unit if there are any signs of damage.Reporting Damage
If you believe there is damage, please call ScootaTrailer® directly using the phone number included in your tracking email. Photos are required, and in some cases, they may even arrange a video call to better understand the issue.How Damage Is Handled
- ScootaTrailer® will always work to correct damage and find the best solution.
- Sometimes damage can be fixed easily without a return, photos help determine this quickly.
- If a return is necessary, ScootaTrailer® will arrange pickup and cover the cost of return shipping and replacement.
- Because every trailer has a unique VIN number, a replacement cannot be sent until the original unit is returned.
- A cancellation is not possible, but damage or repairs will not void the warranty as long as the warranty registration form is completed and returned on time.

How long from the time of order until I get my items?

What if my order hasn’t arrived by the time it was supposed to?
Especially since Covid, which made the truck driver shortage issue even worse than it was, your shipment might be delayed. If this happens, please call us 1-888-233-5563, or the number of the shipping company we provide you with so you can get an update on your shipping status.
What happens if my order for an ScootaTrailer is damaged?
- When your item arrives, do not sign any forms until you have opened the boxes and ascertained that everything is as it should be.
- If the external boxes are damaged, make sure to note this next to your signature. Make sure to inspect the contents before signing.
- If your item is damaged in a way that the entire item needs to be replaced, just refuse the entire delivery.
- If your item is damaged in a way that a spare part needs to be sent out and installed, accept the delivery, and list any damaged items next to your signature.
- If you find damage after having signed for delivery without any damage notes, this can be really problematic as the shipping company may try to shift the blame onto you. This is why it’s important to check for damage, especially if the outside boxes are damaged.
