The Pony Express 1062-LS is the linen and laundry configuration of EK Tech's proven 1062 electric tugger. It hitches to the manual linen carts and bulk laundry trucks your facility already owns and tows up to 2000 lbs behind a single walking operator, so housekeeping staff stop straining against loaded carts on long corridor runs between the laundry room, service elevators, and guest floors.
Power comes from a 0.6 HP 24V DC drive running through foam filled non marking tires that will not scuff polished hospital or hotel flooring. Two speed ranges keep the machine safe indoors. A low mode tops out at 1.5 mph for tight service corridors and elevator lobbies while high mode reaches 3 mph for back of house hauls. The 35 Ah deep cycle AGM battery delivers up to 8 hours of operation and recharges in about 4 hours from any standard wall outlet through the onboard smart charger.
The front mounting plate accepts EK Tech's full hitch catalog, from pintle and ball couplers to quick release pin hitches, so the 1062-LS can be matched to canvas basket trucks, poly box trucks, exchange carts, and rolling linen cages. Dead man throttle operation, an emergency stop, a horn, and an automatic holding brake that locks the load on ramps round out the safety package.

I needed a mobility scooter that was auto-folding, but not overly engineered where problems can arise, was not too heavy to lift by myself, would easily fit in the trunk of my car, and not be overly expensive. It is comfortable, well built, is easy to charge the batteries without having to bend down to remove them, and even if you do want to remove them they are accessible from the standing position. the tiller is fully adjustable as are the arm rests, the folding/unfolding functions are easily initiated, and the axle release is easily achieved. A well engineered piece of kit. Now, for the customer service: I can honestly say that I have never come across anything like it; it is absolutely perfect. The gentleman I dealt with 'bent over backwards' to help me without pressuring me into a purchase, and to ensure I was buying a scooter that was right for me.
