American made electric tugger that lets one housekeeping or laundry associate move up to 2000 lbs of carted linen. Runs up to 8 hours per charge and accepts a full range of linen cart hitches.
The Pony Express 1062-LS is the linen and laundry configuration of EK Tech's proven 1062 electric tugger. It hitches to the manual linen carts and bulk laundry trucks your facility already owns and tows up to 2000 lbs behind a single walking operator, so housekeeping staff stop straining against loaded carts on long corridor runs between the laundry room, service elevators, and guest floors.
Power comes from a 0.6 HP 24V DC drive running through foam filled non marking tires that will not scuff polished hospital or hotel flooring. Two speed ranges keep the machine safe indoors. A low mode tops out at 1.5 mph for tight service corridors and elevator lobbies while high mode reaches 3 mph for back of house hauls. The 35 Ah deep cycle AGM battery delivers up to 8 hours of operation and recharges in about 4 hours from any standard wall outlet through the onboard smart charger.
The front mounting plate accepts EK Tech's full hitch catalog, from pintle and ball couplers to quick release pin hitches, so the 1062-LS can be matched to canvas basket trucks, poly box trucks, exchange carts, and rolling linen cages. Dead man throttle operation, an emergency stop, a horn, and an automatic holding brake that locks the load on ramps round out the safety package.
Like every Pony Express tugger the 1062-LS is welded from powder coated steel and built in the USA. For facilities that move heavier bulk loads the 5000 lb Pony Express 1065-LS is the step up model.

The 1062-LS is rated to tow 2000 lb on flat surfaces. It can climb inclines up to 30 degrees, but the load it can handle on a slope is lower. Size it for your heaviest loaded cart and the steepest ramp on your route, since floor condition and slope both cut usable capacity.
Both share the same 25 in by 24 in footprint and the same linen cart hitch system. The 1062-LS uses a 0.6 HP drive rated to tow 2000 lb, while the 1065-LS uses a 1.6 HP drive rated to 5000 lb. The 1062-LS suits typical hotel and hospital linen carts. The 1065-LS suits heavy bulk laundry trucks or multi cart trains.
The front mounting plate accepts the full EK Tech hitch catalog, including pintle, ball, pin, ring and cart mounted couplers. That lets the 1062-LS connect to canvas basket trucks, poly box trucks, exchange carts and rolling linen cages. The right hitch depends on the coupler style of your existing carts, so have a photo of your cart ready when you choose one.
The standard 35 Ah deep cycle AGM battery runs up to 8 hours per charge. The onboard smart charger plugs into a standard wall outlet, works on 120 to 240 VAC, and recharges the pack in about 4 hours. A larger 70 Ah AGM battery package is available if you need more runtime.

Plan on it. OSHA rule 1910.178 covers tractors, motorized hand trucks and other powered industrial trucks, and it requires that only trained and authorized operators use them. Your facility decides how that applies to your team. At minimum, walk each operator through the dead man throttle, the emergency stop and the speed switch before the first run.

I needed a mobility scooter that was auto-folding, but not overly engineered where problems can arise, was not too heavy to lift by myself, would easily fit in the trunk of my car, and not be overly expensive. Wishful thinking I thought. Until I discovered the MOJO on my computer. This scooter ticked all my boxes, and more. It is comfortable, well built, is easy to charge the batteries without having to bend down to remove them, and even if you do want to remove them they are accessible from the standing position. the tiller is fully adjustable as are the arm rests, the folding/unfolding functions are easily initiated, and the axle release is easily achieved. A well engineered piece of kit. Now, for the customer service: I can honestly say that I have never come across anything like it; it is absolutely perfect. The gentleman I dealt with 'bent over backwards' to help me without pressuring me into a purchase, and to ensure I was buying a scooter that was right for me. Because I live in New Zealand I knew I was creating a lot more work for him, but he never complained. This and my MOJO are very much appreciated. Found the type of Scooter. I wanted to buy online not everyone has the kind of scooter. I have . Talked to Raphael Perlmann about the scooter I wanted.
