The Pioneer 9 Scooter is issued a limited lifetime warranty on the frame of the scooter and a 12-month warranty on electrical components. The warranty begins immediately following purchase.

They place it where you need it, adjust the seat, show you how everything works and answer your questions. Merits accessories ordered with it are attached, so there is nothing to lift or set up.
The Merits Pioneer 9 is rated for 500 lb. Keep the rider plus anything in the front basket within that rating. The swivel captain's seat is 22 in wide and 20 in deep, and the armrests swing up so you can slide on and off from the side.

It weighs 249 lb with batteries. Taken apart, the heaviest piece is the 101 lb base, the seat is 60 lb and each battery is 44 lb. It will not fit most car trunks but fits most pickup beds with a ramp. A platform lift on a trailer hitch needs a vehicle that takes at least 500 lb of tongue weight.
Plug the included 6A off-board charger into a regular outlet and charge overnight. The two 12V Group 24 batteries are sealed and maintenance-free and usually last around 2 years of regular use. Cold weather shortens battery life, so store and charge the scooter indoors when you can.

I needed a mobility scooter that was auto-folding, but not overly engineered where problems can arise, was not too heavy to lift by myself, would easily fit in the trunk of my car, and not be overly expensive. Wishful thinking I thought. Until I discovered the MOJO on my computer. This scooter ticked all my boxes, and more. It is comfortable, well built, is easy to charge the batteries without having to bend down to remove them, and even if you do want to remove them they are accessible from the standing position. the tiller is fully adjustable as are the arm rests, the folding/unfolding functions are easily initiated, and the axle release is easily achieved. A well engineered piece of kit. Now, for the customer service: I can honestly say that I have never come across anything like it; it is absolutely perfect. The gentleman I dealt with 'bent over backwards' to help me without pressuring me into a purchase, and to ensure I was buying a scooter that was right for me. Because I live in New Zealand I knew I was creating a lot more work for him, but he never complained. This and my MOJO are very much appreciated. I am very thankful for the day I first saw the MOJO on the internet. I I now own my very own MOJO.
