Quick Overview

The Ultralite G20 PRO is Forcemech's 2026 flagship travel power chair and the first wheelchair anywhere to carry adaptive side daytime running lights. Its Carboflexion monocoque frame is molded entirely from carbon fiber, which is how the whole chair comes in at just 25 lbs before you click in the 3 lb battery. Shortly after launch the design earned an A Design Award, and one look at the sculpted frame in Sapphire Azure Blue, Imperial Violet Purple or Crimson Forge Red explains why it does not read as medical equipment.

Lighting is what separates the PRO from the standard Ultralite G20. Front LED headlights illuminate the path ahead, adaptive side DRLs make you visible from the left and right, and a rear brake light warns anyone behind you the moment the chair slows. For riders who move through parking garages, hotel corridors, cruise decks and evening streets, that visibility is a genuine safety upgrade no other chair in this class offers.

The rest of the package is built for real travel. The 24V 12.5Ah ForceMax lithium battery is sized for airline carriage and drives the chair up to 12 miles per charge, the voice guided joystick confirms your settings out loud, and automatic electromagnetic brakes hold the chair the instant you release the stick. It folds in seconds to 29 x 10 x 28 inches, small enough for a sedan trunk, an overhead luggage cart or an apartment closet.

With a 300 lb capacity, an upgraded ergonomic backrest with real lumbar support and a 5 year frame warranty behind it, the G20 PRO is aimed at riders who want the lightest possible chair without giving up comfort on long days out.

Options & Upgrades

Accessories

The most useful companion accessory is the spare ForceMax battery. Because the pack weighs only 3 lbs and swaps in seconds, frequent travelers often carry one charged spare in a bag and never think about range again.

The wireless Bluetooth remote controller doubles as a convenience accessory, letting you park or reposition the unoccupied chair in tight hotel rooms and vans without leaning over the joystick.

Forcemech also makes GlowGuard folding walking canes with built in lighting that pair naturally with the chair for riders who alternate between walking short distances and riding.

How to Purchase & What's Included

Can I order the Ultralite G20 PRO over the phone?

Yes. Call us toll free at 1-888-233-5563 and we will take care of everything. All we need is your payment method and your shipping address.

If you are still deciding, we are glad to talk you through the options and help you land on the right choice.

Does Medicare, Medicaid or private insurance help pay for the Ultralite G20 PRO?

Most products in this range do not meet the strict medical device rules that Medicare and Medicaid use, so they rarely qualify for coverage. We do not work with Medicare and we do not bill private insurance directly.

Some private plans will reimburse you outside of the Medicare framework. The best way to find out is to call your insurer and ask. If they say yes, we are happy to provide an invoice and proof of purchase so you can file for reimbursement.

Notice to Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries. Medicare pays for equipment only when the supplier has a Medicare supplier number. Heavy Duty Mobility does not have one, so Medicare will not pay for anything we sell you. You are personally and fully responsible for payment.

Financing & Monthly Payments

You can spread the cost of your Ultralite G20 PRO over time with Klarna. Choose monthly installments or a lease to own plan at checkout. The minimum monthly amount shows next to the price near the top of this page.

Warranty

What warranty comes with the Ultralite G20 PRO?

Documentation, Manuals & Safety

Official documents from Forcemech

Key safety notes. Respect the 300 lb weight capacity and the 12 degree maximum climbing angle. The automatic electromagnetic brakes engage whenever the joystick is released, and the controller can be locked electronically so nobody moves the chair without your consent. The lithium battery meets FAA carry guidance at 24V 12.5Ah, but airlines set their own rules, so confirm battery policy with your carrier before flying. Warranty coverage runs 5 years on the frame with shorter terms on the motor and electronics.

Daily Operation & Transportation

Charging is simple. The 3 lb ForceMax battery releases from the frame so you can charge it at a desk or hotel nightstand, or leave it on the chair and plug in directly. A built in USB Type C port keeps your phone topped up while you ride.

Driving is handled through a voice guided joystick that speaks your speed and status changes, useful for riders who prefer audio confirmation over squinting at a display. Release the stick and the electromagnetic brakes stop and hold the chair automatically, even on the maximum rated 12 degree slope.

For transport, the chair folds in seconds to 29 x 10 x 28 inches. At 25 lbs without the battery it is one of the lightest power chairs sold in the US, so a single family member can usually lift it into a sedan trunk, SUV cargo area or RV bay. The compact fold also slides into apartment closets and behind hotel room doors for storage, and the removable FAA friendly battery makes it a genuine flight companion for cruises and air travel.

Common Questions

How is the G20 PRO different from the standard Ultralite G20

Both chairs share the same 25 lb carbon fiber frame and folding design. The PRO adds the lighting package, adaptive side daytime running lights plus a rear brake light, along with an upgraded ergonomic backrest for better lumbar support on long outings.

Can I take the Ultralite G20 PRO on an airplane

The removable 24V 12.5Ah lithium battery is sized to meet FAA carry guidance, which is why Forcemech markets the chair for cruises and air travel. Airlines apply their own battery policies, so confirm with your carrier a few days before you fly.

Will it fit in my car trunk

Folded, the chair measures 29 x 10 x 28 inches, compact enough for most sedan trunks, SUV cargo areas and back seats. At 25 lbs without the battery, many users and caregivers can load it without help.

How far does it go on one charge

Forcemech rates the 12.5Ah battery for up to 12 miles of driving. Real world range varies with rider weight, hills, speed and temperature, and an optional second battery roughly doubles your day.

Is the G20 PRO good for grass and gravel

It is designed as a premium travel chair for smooth surfaces such as homes, stores, airports, sidewalks and parking lots. It clears obstacles up to 1 inch and climbs up to 12 degrees, but for regular grass or gravel Forcemech points buyers to its Navigator PRO instead.

What holds the chair when I stop

Automatic electromagnetic brakes engage the moment you release the joystick, stopping from top speed in under 39 inches and holding the chair on slopes. An electronic controller lock also prevents anyone from driving the chair without your permission.

What warranty comes with it

Forcemech covers the frame for 5 years, with shorter coverage on the motor and electronics. Optional 2 year and 3 year extended protection plans are available at checkout, and the brand offers a 30 day return window.

Is Forcemech a Good Brand?

Forcemech International is a US based mobility brand headquartered in Texas that has focused on ultralight folding power chairs since 2016. The company made its name by committing early to aerospace grade carbon fiber, and its current lineup runs from the featherweight Ultralite G10 to the all terrain Navigator PRO. Forcemech backs its chairs with a 5 year frame warranty, a 30 day return window and a network of over 300 US dealers for local test drives and service, and the G20 PRO itself picked up an A Design Award shortly after launch. For a travel power chair buyer, that combination of American support infrastructure and genuine engineering focus puts Forcemech among the most credible names in the lightweight category.
