How fast does the Forcemech Pathmate go?

At full speed, you can reach 4 mph.

You will find some other brands offer scooters that go faster than this, however high quality brands put a high emphasis on safety too.

In order for a mobility scooter to go faster than around 10 mph, heavy investment must be made to ensure it stays just as safe. For this reason, the more reputable and safe a brand, the more they cap the top speed of their mobility scooters.

How long do the Forcemech Pathmate batteries last per charge? How many years of use can I get out of the batteries?

Battery running time per charge is measured in miles as opposed to time i.e. how many miles can a fully charged set of batteries take the scooter?

The answer depends on the user’s weight as well as the kind of terrain the scooter is operated upon.

Please take these manufacturer figures with a grain of salt, bearing in mind manufacturers may test their scooters in optimum conditions you won’t find in real life.

For a Forcemech Pathmate mobility scooter, the batteries last: Up to 15 miles.

The lifetime of your Forcemech Pathmate batteries is approximately 3 years, but very much depends on how much you use your scooter and whether you take good care of your batteries.

Lithium-ion batteries can be expensive to replace, please be in contact with us for a quote.

What kind of batteries are used in the Forcemech Pathmate?

This mobility scooter uses lithium-ion batteries. These batteries are maintenance-free, meaning you don’t need to add water to them or anything like that.

They happily stay under their shroud for the duration of their lifetime and you shouldn’t need to do anything to them at all.

Lithium-ion batteries can be expensive to replace, please contact us if you require more information.

What kind of ground clearance does the Forcemech Pathmate have? Is it good for paths and trails?

Since the Forcemech Pathmate is a folding travel scooter, it is not designed for off-road use, dirt paths and grass.

It will probably be able to cope with short stretches of such terrain but not consistent, prolonged use. This scooter works best indoors, and on paved outdoor surfaces.

How big is the Forcemech Pathmate? Will it fit indoors and how sharp does it turn?

The Forcemech Pathmate is perfect for both indoors and outdoors. This scooter has a tight turning radius and is fine for use inside houses and apartments.

The turning radius of the Forcemech Pathmate scooter is upto 48".

How to Purchase & What's Included

Does Medicare/Medicaid or private insurance help pay for the Forcemech Pathmate?

Many heavy-duty/recreational mobility scooters do not qualify as medical devices under Medicare/Medicaid and private insurance strict rules. Though you might be disabled and using the device in a full medical sense, Medicare/Medicaid and private insurance seem to want to save as much money as they can, and do so by making the rules about which models qualify very strict. You might have spent significant time trying to find a Medicare/Medicaid provider online, to no avail. This is because it’s actually very hard for dealers to become Medicare providers, again making it hard for patients to get free scooters, again saving the insurance money. We don’t work with Medicare. We also do not bill private insurances directly. Some private insurances may reimburse you outside of Medicare’s framework. To check if your insurer does this, we recommend contacting them directly and asking. If they say yes, we’re happy to provide invoices/proof of purchases so you can get your money back from your insurer. Here’s a full disclaimer with regard to Medicare/Medicaid:Notice to Medicare/Medicaid Beneficiaries. Medicare will pay for medical equipment and supplies only if a supplier has a Medicare supplier number. Heavy Duty Mobility does not have a Medicare supplier number. Medicare will not pay for any medical equipment and supplies we sell or rent to you. You will be personally and fully responsible for payment.

Shipping, Warranty & Returns

Shipping

How long from the time of order until I get my Forcemech Pathmate mobility scooter?

This very much depends on two factors: the stock status above and how far you are from Texas, where most Forcemech Pathmate mobility scooters ship out from.Bear in mind, different colors of the same model can have different stock statuses. The stock status for this scooter can be seen just under the product title at the top of the page.
  • This item can ship out as soon as the same business day the order is placed. Once shipped out, you can expect a transit time 4-5 business days. Please note these are indicative times and can vary based on how far you are from the supplier warehouse and the volume of orders being received. Also note that upgrades or extra accessory additions to your order may require extra time for installation.
  • If a Forcemech Pathmate mobility scooter is showing LEAD TIME with a number of weeks indicated, the estimated ship out time is that lead time plus standard ship out and transit time indicated in the paragraph above.

Please note, we have excellent relationships with our suppliers/manufacturers. If we are showing an item as having a lead time, it’s almost certainly the same for other dealers who might not have the most up-to-date information on the websites and may show the item as having a lead time.

Why are there such long lead times on some mobility scooters?

Covid has dealt a horrible blow to pretty much every industry on the planet. Right from mining materials to processing them to the factories that produce parts, shipping and freight companies - at every stage of the chain there are workforce shortages and severe delays.

My Forcemech Pathmate mobility scooter is showing a long lead time above. Why should I buy a scooter now if in any case I won’t get it right away?

Unfortunately, the way things are nowadays, with delays across the entire supply chain, if you wait until there is no lead time on your scooter, you might end up waiting forever. As soon as new stock comes in, it is assigned to orders that were already placed, sometimes weeks in advance. We don’t know how soon the situation will get better - and it may actually get worse before getting better again.

For this reason, customers are placing their orders as soon as they are able, to be placed on the list for as soon as the next scooters are ready to ship.

Who will ship my Forcemech Pathmate mobility scooter?

Forcemech Pathmate scooters are almost always shipped by the FedEx Carriers - a freight and trucking company. In most instances, your scooter is delivered by 18-wheeler, unless you choose white glove delivery.

How does the Forcemech Pathmate mobility scooter arrive – is any setup required?

The Forcemech Pathmate comes in a cardboard box, pretty much fully assembled and ready to ride.

How do I book a delivery appointment slot for my Forcemech Pathmate mobility scooter?

What if I miss my delivery appointment slot for my Forcemech Pathmate mobility scooter?

If you miss your delivery appointment, the shipping company will usually take your scooter back to their local terminal in your area and try to reschedule an appointment. There is usually no charge for one extra appointment. Please contact us to keep us in the loop if you do miss your appointment so we can ensure the scooter isn’t sent all the way back to the place of origin.

What if my order hasn’t arrived by the time it was supposed to?

What happens if my order for an Forcemech Pathmate is damaged?

  • When your scooter arrives, do not sign any forms until you have opened the boxes and ascertained that everything is as it should be.
  • If the external boxes are damaged, make sure to note this next to your signature. Make sure to inspect the contents before signing.
  • If your scooter is damaged in a way that the entire scooter needs to be replaced, just refuse the entire delivery.
  • If your scooter is damaged in a way that a spare part needs to be sent out and installed (eg a broken mirror), accept the delivery, and list any damaged items next to your signature.
  • If you find damage after having signed for delivery without any damage notes, this can be really problematic as the shipping company may try to shift the blame onto you. This is why it’s important to check for damage, especially if the outside boxes are damaged.

What happens if my Forcemech Pathmate mobility scooter breaks down?

If your scooter malfunctions, please contact us.

Sometimes we are able to troubleshoot with you over the phone to fix the issue. In other cases, it’s a matter of shipping out a simple part, say if a knob needs replacing, under warranty conditions.

If this does not work, for this scooter, diagnosing is the customer’s responsibility and you might have to hire a technician to identify the fault. Once the fault is identified, a replacement part will be shipped out if under warranty. Installing the part is once again the customer’s responsibility. Please checkout our Afiscooters collection page - these scooters come with a more comprehensive warranty including free labor diagnosing and repairs.

Do I call you or the manufacturer if my Forcemech Pathmate mobility scooter breaks down?
