The SuperHandy GUO097 is a compact manual material lift that puts a mini forklift in a footprint small enough for a garage, stockroom or home shop. A hand crank winch raises the fork carriage from just over 3 in off the floor to 39.4 in, so one person can lift up to 330 lb of boxes, appliances, kegs or shop equipment to bench or shelf height without a second set of hands. Because the winch is fully mechanical there is nothing to charge, no hydraulic fluid to leak and no motor to service.
The load deck works two ways. Slide loads straight onto the bare steel forks like a pallet stacker, or pin on the included diamond plate steel platform to turn the unit into a flat top dolly for odd shaped cargo. The plate drops on and off with simple R pin hardware, so switching between fork work and platform work takes moments.
Underneath, two 8 in solid wheels carry the load while 2 in swivel casters at the outrigger tips steer the unit through doorways and narrow aisles. A foot pedal parking brake locks the lift in place for loading, and SuperHandy rates loads up to about 132 lb for a tilt back drag mode that speeds up longer moves. At 79 lb the whole unit is light enough for one adult to load into a truck bed for jobsite use.

The GUO097 ships as one complete configuration and there are no factory option packages to choose. The removable diamond plate platform is already in the box along with the forks, handlebar, winch handle and all wheels. SuperHandy sells replacement forks, plates, pulleys and polyethylene rope through its parts support line, so high wear items can be renewed for the life of the unit.
SuperHandy does not list dedicated add on accessories for this lift. The included flat plate is the main modular piece and it swaps on or off the forks with R pins. Owners who use the lift for slippery or shifting loads should add their own tie down straps, and SuperHandy support can supply spare pins, wheels, pulleys and rope as service parts.

Daily use is simple because there is nothing to charge or fuel. Turn the winch handle clockwise to raise the forks and counterclockwise to lower them, and the pulley and rope system does the rest. A foot pedal at the base engages the parking brake for loading and unloading, and a second press releases it for travel.
For quick trips with lighter cargo up to about 132 lb, SuperHandy describes a tilt mode. Keep the forks under 8 in high, grip the handlebar, brace a foot on the wheel axle and tilt the unit back like a hand truck to roll it faster on its 8 in wheels.
The lift arrives partly disassembled and bolts together with basic hand tools, with the manual walking through wheel axle, wheels, forks, plate, handlebar and winch handle in eight steps. At 79 lb and 38.2 x 23.6 x 51.2 in overall it fits in a pickup bed or cargo van for jobsite work. Store it indoors in a cool dry spot away from direct sun and rain, and keep the polyethylene rope away from heat and sharp edges.

I needed a mobility scooter that was auto-folding, but not overly engineered where problems can arise, was not too heavy to lift by myself, would easily fit in the trunk of my car, and not be overly expensive. It is comfortable, well built, is easy to charge the batteries without having to bend down to remove them, and even if you do want to remove them they are accessible from the standing position. the tiller is fully adjustable as are the arm rests, the folding/unfolding functions are easily initiated, and the axle release is easily achieved. A well engineered piece of kit. Now, for the customer service: I can honestly say that I have never come across anything like it; it is absolutely perfect. The gentleman I dealt with 'bent over backwards' to help me without pressuring me into a purchase, and to ensure I was buying a scooter that was right for me.
