The Explorer Prime rides on four solid rubber tires with a deep tread, so smooth mall floors, grassy yards, and gravel paths all feel manageable. The tires never need air and never go flat, which means one less thing to check before you head out. A shock-absorbing setup softens bumps so the ride stays comfortable over rougher ground.
Two batteries for longer days out
This scooter comes with two 48V lithium batteries and runs on one at a time. When the first runs low you slide in the fresh one and keep moving, so a low charge does not cut your trip short. Each battery is light enough to lift out on its own and charges in about 1.5 to 2 hours. Expect up to about 6 miles of range for a lighter rider and around 4 miles near the full 350 pound load.
Folds down and travels light
The aluminum frame keeps the weight down and folds in two simple steps. The seat lifts off and the batteries pull out, so the heaviest piece you handle is the frame at about 60 pounds. Folded, it measures roughly 39 by 22 by 18 inches and fits in most car trunks and closets.
Comfort and control for everyday trips
A high-density padded seat and armrests give you a supported ride, and the handlebar angle adjusts to suit your arms. The control panel sits on the right handlebar with a simple on and off button, three drive modes, and a battery gauge you can read at a glance. What accessories come with the Explorer Prime?
The scooter ships with two 48V lithium batteries, a wall charger, and a front basket for carrying small bags and groceries. Because it already includes a spare battery, most riders are set right out of the box. If you want extra time out for longer days, ask us about adding another compatible SuperHandy battery so you always have a charged one ready. The seat and armrests are padded from the factory, and the handlebar angle adjusts without any add-ons.

Does Medicare, Medicaid or private insurance help pay for the Explorer Prime?
Most powered mobility and equipment products do not meet the strict medical device rules that Medicare and Medicaid use, so they rarely qualify. We do not work with Medicare and we do not bill private insurance directly.
Some private plans reimburse you outside of the Medicare framework. The best way to find out is to call your insurer and ask. If they say yes, we are happy to provide an invoice and proof of purchase so you can file for reimbursement.
Notice to Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries. Medicare pays for equipment only when the supplier has a Medicare supplier number. Heavy Duty Mobility does not have one, so Medicare will not pay for anything we sell you. You are personally and fully responsible for payment.
What happens after I place my order for the Explorer Prime?

How long until my Explorer Prime arrives?
Standard shipping is free. Most orders leave the warehouse within a few business days. Once your mobility scooter is on the way, expect a transit time of roughly five to ten business days depending on how far you are from the warehouse and the size of the item.
Larger freight items ship on a pallet and the carrier calls ahead to book a curbside delivery appointment that works for you.
Will I get tracking?
Yes. As soon as your order ships we email you a tracking link so you can follow it all the way to your door.

What does the Explorer Prime warranty cover?
SuperHandy backs this product with a one year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, measured from the date of the original purchase. Coverage goes to the original buyer.
Normal wear items and damage from misuse, accidents, unauthorized repairs or modifications, and natural disasters are not covered. To make a claim, contact us with a description of the issue and your proof of purchase and we help arrange replacement parts or a replacement product.

What should I know before the first use of the Explorer Prime?
Read the owner manual fully before your first ride or use. Charge the battery as the manual describes and store it charged. Stay within the rated weight capacity and operate at a safe speed for the space you are in.
How do I care for the battery safely?
Use only the charger supplied with the mobility scooter. Charge indoors on a hard surface away from anything flammable and do not leave a battery charging unattended for long periods. Keep the battery dry and out of extreme heat or cold.

Is the Explorer Prime easy to drive?
Yes. You turn it on with the power button or the NFC key, pick one of the three drive modes, and press the throttle lever to go. The more you press, the faster it moves, so you stay in control at your own pace. Keep both hands on the handlebar and both feet on the foot rests while you ride.
How do I charge and swap the batteries?
The scooter runs on one 48V battery at a time and comes with a second one as a spare. Each battery lifts out and charges on its own in about 1.5 to 2 hours from a standard wall outlet. When the battery in use runs low, slide in the charged spare and keep going. Charge at room temperature and in a well ventilated spot away from anything flammable.
Does it fold for the car?
It does. The seat lifts off, the batteries pull out, and the frame folds in two steps. The heaviest piece to lift is the aluminum frame at about 60 pounds, and folded it measures roughly 39 by 22 by 18 inches. That fits in most car trunks and stores in a closet or corner at home.
Can it handle grass and gravel?
Yes. The four solid rubber tires have a deep all-terrain tread and never go flat, so grass, gravel, and packed dirt are all within reach. It climbs gentle slopes up to about 10 degrees. Take hills and turns slowly, and always approach curbs and bumps straight on at low speed.
Is it alright to use in the rain?
Light, dry conditions are best. A little moisture is manageable, but you should avoid heavy rain, deep puddles, and standing water, and never leave the batteries or charger out in the wet. Wipe the scooter down and store it somewhere dry to keep it running well.

Auto Fold
I needed a mobility scooter that was auto-folding, but not overly engineered where problems can arise, was not too heavy to lift by myself, would easily fit in the trunk of my car, and not be overly expensive. Wishful thinking I thought. Until I discovered the MOJO on my computer. This scooter ticked all my boxes, and more. It is comfortable, well built, is easy to charge the batteries without having to bend down to remove them, and even if you do want to remove them they are accessible from the standing position. the tiller is fully adjustable as are the arm rests, the folding/unfolding functions are easily initiated, and the axle release is easily achieved. A well engineered piece of kit. Now, for the customer service: I can honestly say that I have never come across anything like it; it is absolutely perfect. The gentleman I dealt with 'bent over backwards' to help me without pressuring me into a purchase, and to ensure I was buying a scooter that was right for me. Because I live in New Zealand I knew I was creating a lot more work for him, but he never complained. This and my MOJO are very much appreciated. I am very thankful for the day I first saw the MOJO on the internet. I I now own my very own MOJO.

Found the type of Scooter. I wanted to buy online not everyone has the kind of scooter. I have . Talked to Raphael Perlmann about the scooter I wanted. I was a little hesitant at first because they were from Florida. After talking to Raphael I felt a much more comfortable about the idea of having a scooter shipped all across the country am in Seattle WA.
