The SuperHandy Explorer is a folding four-wheel scooter that runs two swappable 48V batteries and rolls over grass and gravel on all-terrain tires. It weighs about 64 pounds and folds in two steps for the car.
The Explorer rides on cushioned pneumatic tires with front and rear suspension, so bumps in the sidewalk and soft patches of grass do not rattle you around. The 8.5 inch front wheels and 10 inch rear wheels keep the ride level, and the all-terrain tread grips loose gravel and packed dirt when you head off the paved path.
Two 48V lithium batteries slide in and out by hand, and each one carries you about 5 miles for a combined range near 10 miles. Bring the spare along on a longer trip and swap it in when the first runs low. Each battery recharges in around 1.5 hours, so a topped up pack is never far away.
The whole scooter weighs about 64 pounds and folds in two steps to roughly 39 inches long and under 18 inches tall. The aluminum frame keeps the heaviest single piece near 50 pounds, which makes it far easier to lift into a trunk or store in a closet than a steel scooter of the same size.
Four wheels give the Explorer a wide, planted footprint that many riders find reassuring on slopes and uneven ground. Dual disc brakes handle the stopping, a reverse setting helps you back out of tight spots at a careful 2 mph, and the padded seat and adjustable handlebars let you find a comfortable position for the whole ride.

The Explorer is rated for riders up to 350 lb, and that rating covers everything on the scooter, including bags in the baskets. The aluminum frame keeps the scooter itself to about 64 lb. The padded seat and adjustable handlebars let you set a comfortable position. Do not ride over the rated weight.

Yes. The Explorer has all-terrain pneumatic tires, 8.5 in in front and 10 in at the rear, plus front and rear suspension and 3.3 in of ground clearance. Short grass, packed dirt and loose gravel are all within its use. It is not made to sit out in the rain, so store it under cover.
Each 48V lithium battery lifts out by hand and plugs into the wall charger. A battery recharges in about 1.5 hours, on or off the scooter, so it is easy to keep a spare charged by the door.
Its batteries are within the federal size limit. Each 48V 2Ah lithium pack holds about 96 Wh. Federal rules allow a removable mobility aid battery up to 300 Wh in the cabin, plus spares up to 160 Wh each, and airlines may ask for 48 hours notice. Confirm with your airline before you fly.
The Explorer comes with two 48V lithium batteries, the charger, two storage baskets, a storage bag and a quick start guide. A third battery is the most popular add-on, so you can keep riding while two charge, and a rear storage box is available for groceries and errands.

I needed a mobility scooter that was auto-folding, but not overly engineered where problems can arise, was not too heavy to lift by myself, would easily fit in the trunk of my car, and not be overly expensive. Wishful thinking I thought. Until I discovered the MOJO on my computer. This scooter ticked all my boxes, and more. It is comfortable, well built, is easy to charge the batteries without having to bend down to remove them, and even if you do want to remove them they are accessible from the standing position. the tiller is fully adjustable as are the arm rests, the folding/unfolding functions are easily initiated, and the axle release is easily achieved. A well engineered piece of kit. Now, for the customer service: I can honestly say that I have never come across anything like it; it is absolutely perfect. The gentleman I dealt with 'bent over backwards' to help me without pressuring me into a purchase, and to ensure I was buying a scooter that was right for me. Because I live in New Zealand I knew I was creating a lot more work for him, but he never complained. This and my MOJO are very much appreciated. Found the type of Scooter. I wanted to buy online not everyone has the kind of scooter. I have . Talked to Raphael Perlmann about the scooter I wanted.
