The Explorer rides on cushioned pneumatic tires with front and rear suspension, so bumps in the sidewalk and soft patches of grass do not rattle you around. The 8.5 inch front wheels and 10 inch rear wheels keep the ride level, and the all-terrain tread grips loose gravel and packed dirt when you head off the paved path.
Two 48V lithium batteries slide in and out by hand, and each one carries you about 5 miles for a combined range near 10 miles. Bring the spare along on a longer trip and swap it in when the first runs low. Each battery recharges in around 1.5 hours, so a topped up pack is never far away.
The whole scooter weighs about 64 pounds and folds in two steps to roughly 39 inches long and under 18 inches tall. The aluminum frame keeps the heaviest single piece near 50 pounds, which makes it far easier to lift into a trunk or store in a closet than a steel scooter of the same size.
Four wheels give the Explorer a wide, planted footprint that many riders find reassuring on slopes and uneven ground. Dual disc brakes handle the stopping, a reverse setting helps you back out of tight spots at a careful 2 mph, and the padded seat and adjustable handlebars let you find a comfortable position for the whole ride.

Some private plans reimburse you outside of the Medicare framework. The best way to find out is to call your insurer and ask. If they say yes, we are happy to provide an invoice and proof of purchase so you can file for reimbursement.

Read the owner manual fully before your first ride or use. Charge the battery as the manual describes and store it charged. Stay within the rated weight capacity and operate at a safe speed for the space you are in.
Use only the charger supplied with the mobility scooter. Charge indoors on a hard surface away from anything flammable and do not leave a battery charging unattended for long periods. Keep the battery dry and out of extreme heat or cold.
Yes. You steer with the handlebars and control speed with a thumb throttle, and a dial lets you set a slow 4 mph pace indoors or open up to 6.25 mph outside. Four wheels keep the scooter steady, so you can start, stop, and turn without feeling tippy. A reverse setting backs you out of tight spots at a careful 2 mph.

I needed a mobility scooter that was auto-folding, but not overly engineered where problems can arise, was not too heavy to lift by myself, would easily fit in the trunk of my car, and not be overly expensive. Wishful thinking I thought. Until I discovered the MOJO on my computer. This scooter ticked all my boxes, and more. It is comfortable, well built, is easy to charge the batteries without having to bend down to remove them, and even if you do want to remove them they are accessible from the standing position. the tiller is fully adjustable as are the arm rests, the folding/unfolding functions are easily initiated, and the axle release is easily achieved. A well engineered piece of kit. Now, for the customer service: I can honestly say that I have never come across anything like it; it is absolutely perfect. The gentleman I dealt with 'bent over backwards' to help me without pressuring me into a purchase, and to ensure I was buying a scooter that was right for me. Because I live in New Zealand I knew I was creating a lot more work for him, but he never complained. This and my MOJO are very much appreciated. Found the type of Scooter. I wanted to buy online not everyone has the kind of scooter. I have . Talked to Raphael Perlmann about the scooter I wanted.
