How long do warranties last?
Who do I contact if my scooter breaks?
Every item has a slightly different warranty policy, based on the brand that manufacturers the device. Whilst we are here to help you every step of the way in communicating with the manufacturer, at the end of the day it is the manufacturer who provides the warranty.
All warranties are for faults and malfunctions, not for general maintenance & checkup, nor for wear and tear.
All our mobility scooters, including heavy-duty, all-terrain, recreational, canopy, dual seat, are covered by two kinds of warranties: parts and/or in-home service.
Mobility Scooter Parts Warranties:
In this case, the manufacturer will replace a faulty part by sending it to your address in the mail. Replacement parts are free under the specified timeframe. Should you require labor service, this would be at your cost, and we can normally help you find a local technician to do the job.
You may be asked to call in for a troubleshooting session so we can determine the part which is faulty. You might also be asked to provide images/videos.
Mobility Scooter In-home service warranty:
In this case the manufacturer will send a technician over to your home to repair your device, without you needing to go anywhere. Parts and labor are both free under the specified timeframe.
You may be asked to call in for a troubleshooting session so we can determine if a technician needs to be called out or there’s a simple fix. You might also be asked to provide images/videos.
If a technician is necessary, please bear in mind it can take a few days for them to come around, especially if you live in a rural area. This is not intended as an emergency service if you get stuck somewhere – in this case you should call 911 or emergency services.
Please also note that due to fraudulent claims in the past, if a technician comes around and sees the claim is not legitimate, you may be asked to pay for the callout or risk voiding your warranty.
