Does Medicare/Medicaid or private insurance help pay for the Daymak Roadstar Deluxe?

Many heavy-duty/recreational mobility scooters do not qualify as medical devices under Medicare/Medicaid and private insurance strict rules. Though you might be disabled and using the device in a full medical sense, Medicare/Medicaid and private insurance seem to want to save as much money as they can, and do so by making the rules about which models qualify very strict. You might have spent significant time trying to find a Medicare/Medicaid provider online, to no avail. This is because it’s actually very hard for dealers to become Medicare providers, again making it hard for patients to get free scooters, again saving the insurance money. We don’t work with Medicare. We also do not bill private insurances directly. Some private insurances may reimburse you outside of Medicare’s framework. To check if your insurer does this, we recommend contacting them directly and asking. If they say yes, we’re happy to provide invoices/proof of purchases so you can get your money back from your insurer. Here’s a full disclaimer with regard to Medicare/Medicaid: Notice to Medicare/Medicaid Beneficiaries. Medicare will pay for medical equipment and supplies only if a supplier has a Medicare supplier number. Heavy Duty Mobility does not have a Medicare supplier number. Medicare will not pay for any medical equipment and supplies we sell or rent to you. You will be personally and fully responsible for payment.

What happens if my order for a Daymak Roadstar Deluxe mobility scooter is damaged?

  • When your scooter arrives, do not sign any forms until you have opened the boxes and ascertained that everything is as it should be.
  • If the external boxes are damaged, make sure to note this next to your signature. Make sure to inspect the contents before signing.
  • If your scooter is damaged in a way that the entire scooter needs to be replaced, just refuse the entire delivery.

How long does the warranty on Daymak Roadstar Deluxe mobility scooter last for? What’s included/excluded from the warranty?

All service is to be arranged with your local dealer. Contact your local dealer for any discrepancies in warranty claims. All eBikes, scooters, electric ATVs & mobility scooters are covered by a 2 year warranty on motor & frame, 6 month warranty on controller, batteries, & all other non-wear & tear components at time of purchase, as stated on the original signed invoice.

Electric pocket bikes, electric dirt bikes are covered by a 60 day parts only warranty at time of purchase, as stated on the original signed invoice.. Electric stand up scooters and toy cars are covered by a 45 day Parts at time of purchase, as stated on the original signed invoice.

Wear & tear components include, but are not limited to, tires, tubes, cables, fuses, speakers, and the likeare not covered under any warranty.

Anything purchased boxed, through a dealer, or purchased on-line, is covered singularly by a 14-day parts only warranty (from date of shipment/delivery).

Manufacturer’s limited warranty does not cover parts including, but not limited to Material (seats), Fairings (plastics), brake pads, tires, tubes, or damage due to lack of maintenance, accident, misuse or abuse.

Any modifications made to this vehicle void the warranty.

You may return defective parts at your expense and we’ll send you a replacement part at our expense. Depending on the seriousness of the failure, we may ask for a picture of the part/s in question, and to also verify warranty information. Once the warranty claim is approved, we’ll send the replacement part(s) via courier service within Canada, and other means outside of Canada. You should have them within a few days in most cases (in Canada), If the required part(s) are not in stock and must be ordered, an estimated delivery time will be given. All Boxed Units, and units purchased on-line, are covered by a 14-day parts only warranty.

What if I don't like my Daymak Roadstar Deluxe mobility scooter? Can I return or exchange it?

All our online and store sales are final. No refunds. Exchanges are allowed if the product is returned in the original package un-used. Shipping and handling fees as well as return shipping charges are not refundable unless otherwise stated elsewhere in page.

This warranty does not cover or warranty damage to the unit caused by:

1) Defects, malfunction, or failures resulting from abuse, misuse, modifications, alterations, improper storage, use of unauthorized attachments including failure to provide or perform required maintenance services as prescribed in the owner’s/ operator’s manual. Preventive maintenance is the warranty holder’s responsibility.

2) Damage caused by dirt or corrosion in all of its forms, including, but not restricted to rust, salt water, varnish and moisture.

3) Failure to follow the setup, pre-delivery service, and adjustments outlined in the operator’s manual.

4) Parts not warranted that are normal maintenance items such as tires, brakes, bearings etc.

5) Damage caused by improper tire inflation.

6) Damage caused by pressure, or steam cleaning of the product.

7) General wear and tear.

8) Damage caused during any form of racing, commercial use, crash damage included but not limited to fork or frame damage or any use deemed improper by Ebike Universe Inc., or the original distributor/manufacturer, acting reasonably.

International Orders

Prices do not include any applicable taxes, tariffs, duties, or custom’s fees which you may have to pay upon importing and receiving the product. Failure to comply with government importation regulations in your country is not a reason to cancel an order or receive a refund. Products that are already shipped will incur a 30% restocking fee. If you change your mind after ordering, but your order has not yet been shipped, you will be charged a 20% restocking fee. For orders to the USA only, we can arrange with you to pay tariffs on your behalf. Please keep this in mind when you place and pay for your order.

This scooter will not fit in the vast majority of car trunks. It will however fit on most pickup truck beds.

If you’re planning on transporting your mobility scooter on a pickup truck bed, you’ll probably need a ramp to get the scooter up onto the truck bed.

I don’t have a large enough vehicle to transport the Daymak Roadstar Deluxe mobility scooter. What are my options?

  • Electric lift: The most common solution is to purchase a platform-style vehicle lift, which sits on your trailer hitch.

    If you don’t have a trailer hitch on your vehicle, you’ll need to have one installed. The platform lowers right down to road level, you ride the scooter onto the platform, secure the scooter with provided straps and then activate a lift which raises the platform a few feet off the ground. You’ll need a vehicle that can take a max tongue weight of at least 500 lbs, so this won’t work for saloon and hatchback vehicles.

  • Manual Platform: Like an electric lift, this has a platform which sits on your trailer hitch, but this platform does not rise and decened, instead, it has a built-in ramp which flips out, allowing you to roll the scooter up onto the platform.

    You’ll need a vehicle that can take a max tongue weight of at least 500 lbs, so this won’t work for saloon and hatchback vehicles.
